Video: Three Gaming Heroes Learn Not To Steal Mario’s Powerups

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

In this fan video, Master Chief, Lara Croft, and Assassin Connor learn not to mess with Mario, the master of powerups.

Sometimes, videogame fans produce things of beauty and magnificence. The following video, which features Mario putting a stop to a heist on his powerups by Halo‘s Master Chief, Assassin’s Creed‘s Connor, and Tomb Raider‘s Lara Croft, is one of those things.

The video, made by the folks over at Corridor Digital, has some pretty high production values, and is suitably entertaining. It starts with Master Chief and Connor taking out some hapless Toads, as Lara Croft comes in to secure the “emergency powerups.”

But Mario isn’t going to take that sitting down, and uses his winged cap to chase the theives down. Master Chief then eats a mega mushroom, and Connor a fire flower. All in vain, of course, as Mario isn’t stupid enough to let his own powerups be used against him.

If the video piqued your interest, be sure to check out the making of video, which goes to show you just how much effort is put into these kinds of videos. The video’s music was provided by Kristopher Fisher, and you can check out each of the four main actor’s Twitter profiles here:
