Where to Find a Campsite With Telescopes in Fortnite OG

Just like in the regular Battle Royale, finding a campsite with telescopes is one of Fortnite OG’s many challenges. 

While the challenge itself is pretty basic, it ties into the storyline of an incoming meteorite crash onto the island. The object is visible in the sky at this point, and while you won’t be able to interact with the telescopes, it signifies that NPCs have set up different camps on the island to view their incoming doom. Multiple camps are spread out across the island, and visiting any of them will help you complete this challenge. 

How to Find a Campsite with Telescopes in Fortnite OG

There are seven different spots where you can find a campsite with telescopes. The locations are as follows: 

• At Dusty Depot
• Between Salty Springs and Fatal Fields 
• West of Misty Mire
• Southeast of Retail Row
• Northwest of Wailing Woods 
• Northeast of Snobby Shores 
• Northeast of Pleasant Park 

The map below should help you pinpoint these camps with ease. Since most of these areas are hot drops, you might want to be careful of enemy presence while trying to complete this challenge in Fortnite OG. If you’re finding it difficult to locate these camps, land at the POIs mentioned above, and look for hills around them. You can usually find these camps with telescopes on top of these hills.

While doing it, I found the one west of Misty Mire more accessible because it fell right on the Battle Bus route. If you’re trying to reach this particular location, jump out of the Battle Bus and head towards Misty Mire. Here you should find a prison-like establishment.

This is an unnamed POI, so don’t expect it to be marked on your minimap or in-game map. To the south of this establishment is a hilltop, and you should find a camp with telescopes right on top of this hill in Fortnite OG. 

Once you’ve spotted the camp, all you need to do is visit the camp, and you’ll complete the challenge and receive 10,000 XP as a reward. It requires no additional effort and is Epic’s way of handing out some free XP. Irrespective of which camp you visit, you’re bound to find a chest or two at these camps, so if you drop here straight out of the Battle Bus, you can walk away with some free loot.
