Where to Find and Use a Mandalorian Jetpack in Fortnite

The Mandalorians have arrived on Fortnite island, and they’ve brought their fabled jetpacks with them.

Jetpacks are a wonderful mobility object, and can often give you an upper hand in any fight. Since they allow you to go airborne, making it harder for enemies to hit you. This item was introduced back in 2018, and has been featured in seasons at different instances, especially during Star Wars seasons. It can’t be used directly in combat, but it’s one of the few items that can ensure a Victory Royale.

How to Get a Mandalorian Jetpack in Fortnite

You can get a Mandalorian Jetpack in two specific ways, by looting or by buying it from an NPC on the island. For now, the only way to find this item is by looting it off the ground. You’ll find these Mandalorian Jetpacks scattered all across the world as regular floor loot, or by looting chests. They’ve got increased spawn rates in Imperial Outposts, so if you’re looking for one, visit one of the outposts to get your hands on one quickly.

You also have the option to buy this item from the Supply Mandalorian in exchange for Gold, but it’s not available right now. It’ll be made available later on, once the entire community has completed the alignment challenges for the season. If you find anyone using a Mandalorian Jetpack, you can defeat them in battle and then claim theirs for yourself.

How to Use a Jetpack

When using a Mandalorian Jetpack in Fortnite, all you need to do is press and hold the jump button in air to hover. You can use the arrow keys to manoeuver yourself in air. Now, whenever you hover in air, you’ll see a counter beside your item bar count down from 100 to zero. Once this drops to zero, you’ll come back down on ground. So, be careful that you don’t go too high up, or you might take some fall damage.

After a short second or two, this counter will go back up to 100 once again. But, there’s a small green bar beside your Mandalorian Jetpack icon on your item bar which will keep going down every time your counter refills. Unlike the weapons, these Mandalorian Jetpacks are a limited resource and there’s no way to refill their counter at all. So, if that green bar runs down completely, you won’t be able to use it anymore. It’s an extremely rare resource so be sure to use it wisely!
