Your Mom’s Computer Can Run Fallout: New Vegas

System requirements for the PC version of Fallout: New Vegas have been revealed, along with a partial list of classic tunes that will be spun by two New Vegas radio stations.

Ah, Vegas. The sights. The sounds. The skulls that explode like rotting coconuts dashed against hot pavement. Is there anyplace in the world more exciting? But as the saying goes, if you want to play, you’ve got to pay – or at the very least, have a PC that meets these minimum system requirements:

  • Dual-core 2.0 GHz CPU
  • 2GB RAM
  • 10GB free HDD space
  • Nvidia GeForce 6 series or ATI 1300XT series video card
  • Windows XP/Vista/7

And what’s a trip to the glittering jewel of the desert without the melodious magic of music to make your memories complete? Like Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas will feature radio stations cuing up a range of classic oldies to soothe your jangled nerves as you chain-gun your way through hordes of Jet-huffing raiders. Bethesda has released playlists from two of the game’s radio stations and yes, there will be Ink Spots.
