Embark reveals DDoS attacks are causing ARC Raiders and The Finals server issues

ARC Raiders’ latest patch with many new meta events has dropped. And while the new big patch is causing various bugs and issues, it turns out it’s not entirely to blame. Hostile actors are attacking Embark Studios, and that’s part of the reason why ARC Raiders servers, alongside The Finals, are struggling via DDoS attacks.

Embark Studios has been pinging everyone in the game announcement channel on the ARC Raiders Discord throughout the morning.

The server issues for ARC Raiders began at 03:30 local time in Sweden, with initial reports of server instability and lag.

Servers began recovery an hour later, with the servers returning back to their woeful ways three hours later. Those problems continued for a few more hours, and then they started stabilizing again. However, they are not yet fully stabilized.

ARC Raiders servers down?

As of 13:00 local time, nearly 12 hours after the initial disruption, Embark announced that the issues are related to DDoS attacks. The report claims that Embark’s strike team is in action, finding ways to mitigate the DDoS problems for the servers and improve stability throughout the course of the day. Yet, the DDoS strikes are coordinated and consistently disrupting efforts.

The team is also still working on hotfixes because of the bugs that were introduced to the game from the actual new patch itself.

If you’re looking to play ARC Raiders, keep in mind that there are a good few issues ongoing right now. It might be best to hang tight and not lose your kit because the server you’re on goes down due to the DDoS and the server issues currently in effect.
