Yesterday saw Bethesda Game Studios celebrate Fallout Day, and while the event wasn’t short of announcements for the Nuka-Cola chuggers among us, it was missing that announcement.
That’s right, despite leaks and court documents suggesting a Fallout 3 Remaster was in development at some point in recent years, we’re still waiting for it, while fans (and Danny Trejo’s) calls for a New Vegas remaster also went unanswered.
Still, at least we’re getting Fallout 4 again. The game is celebrating ten years since launch with a new Anniversary Edition which includes all six DLC updates, as well as “over 150 pieces of Creation Club content”, according to associate art director Daniel Lee.
The new version launches November 10, but it’ll also come to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
Fallout: New Vegas fans can at least look forward to a new 15th Anniversary Bundle with a classic big box version of the PC version, a statue of Victor, and some other goodies. You can pre-order now.
Fallout 76 is getting another update with Walton Goggins’ character from the Amazon Prime show, The Ghoul, making an appearance. The game is heading to Ohio for its Burning Springs update, while the long-running multiplayer entry is finally getting native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions in 2026.
If you felt a little disappointed in the lack of Fallout 3 and New Vegas remaster news, there’s some good news – Todd Howard has suggested there’s more to come.
Speaking on the stream, Howard said “Even though I am recording this — it’s not live — and I’m probably watching myself right now from my desk and I’m reading your chat and these… that thing you want and this other thing you want… Hey, we read it all.”
“Just know we are working on even more. We are looking forward to the day when we can share that with everybody.”
Here’s hoping, eh?
