Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Switch 2 release date confirmed, Joker and Harley DLC arrives same day

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight finally has a Nintendo Switch 2 release date, with Warner Bros. Games confirming that the TT Games adventure will arrive on Nintendo’s newest console on September 18, 2026.

Pre-orders are now live for both the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition, bringing the brick-built Caped Crusader to Switch 2 a few months after its launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox and PC. All Switch 2 pre-orders will also include an in-game Batsuit based on Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns.

The same date will also see the release of the Mayhem Collection DLC across Switch 2, PS5, Xbox and PC for Deluxe Edition owners. That pack is built around a new Mayhem Mode starring The Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters, meaning players will be able to stop protecting Gotham for a bit and start making a proper mess of it instead.

The Mayhem Collection also includes a new story mission, the Sinister Pack, seven new suits – one for each of the main game’s playable characters – five new Batcave items, and a new Batmobile for exploring the open world. Warner Bros. says the DLC will be available on the same day as the Switch 2 version, so Deluxe Edition owners on Nintendo’s system will not have to wait around for these villain-focused extras.

What is in the Switch 2 Deluxe Edition?

The Switch 2 Deluxe Edition includes the base game, access to the previously announced Legacy Collection DLC, and access to the Mayhem Collection. The Legacy Collection pulls from the wider Batman universe, with suits, vehicles, and Batcave items inspired by the Batman: Arkham games, Batman Beyond, and a party music-themed pack.

Physical Deluxe Edition buyers will also get a free Lego Retro Video Game Batman minifigure, although Warner Bros. notes that this is limited to the physical version and available only while supplies last.
