Here’s a complete guide to Barriers to Entry, including everything you need to start the quest and where to find each Barrier Projector location. We’ll also throw in a few other helpful tidbits of information to make life easier on the quest.

The Escapist recaps

  • The beginning of the Ghosts of K’aresh campaign places players in the city of Tazavesh, giving them a chance to explore its fabled streets.
  • Barriers to Entry is the eighth quest in the initial chapter of the campaign, meaning players will need to be level 80 and have a few quests under their belt before they can start it.
  • The aim of this quest is to place eight Barrier Projectors and prevent new portals from being opened in Tazavesh.
  • Despite being a non-combat quest, players will need to defeat a handful of mobs as they explore the city.

To access Barriers to Entry, you’ll need to be playing on a level 80 character, as the Ghosts of K’aresh campaign is a max-level series of quests.

When you’ve completed The Darkness Among Us, Barriers to Entry will be available for pick-up from Locus-Walker.

Head through the portal to the lower area and down the stairs, veering left. The first Barrier Projector location will be next to the flower bed ahead of you.

Then, follow the path to the north. There’ll be another glowing yellow spot for a Barrier Projector just around the corner of the building – and you will likely need to battle a few mobs here, too.

Stick to the path as it turns left. The next spot will be visible ahead, on top of a circular, golden drain.

Take the path to the right and go up the stairs. The fourth Barrier Projector needs to be placed on the right-hand side of the first staircase.

At the top of the next staircase, head to your right and follow this path along. There’ll be another pack of mobs to deal with as you progress through this area. The next location is just past the market stall on your left, facing a flower bed.

Follow the path to the right and cross the bridge to find the sixth Barrier Projector location – it’ll be slightly to the left as you cross here.

Head down the stairs to your right to find the seventh location, just near the end step.

Finally, backtrack up the stairs towards the area where you placed the sixth Barrier Projector and go through the building called Xy Import Offices, preparing to tackle a few groups of pesky enemies as you do so.

The eighth Barrier Projector location will be at the end of the platform, underneath the large gate ahead of you.

Once you’ve placed this Barrier Projector, you’ll be able to turn in the quest straight away to Alleria and claim a handful of Gold and Valorstones before progressing with the campaign.
