The Escapist recaps

  • Both Destiny 2 and Destiny Rising have a variety of codes that you can redeem to acquire all sorts of in-game rewards.
  • Redeemable rewards include rare emblems, emotes, transmat effects, shaders, as well as bonus currency and resources.
  • Destiny 2 has a lot of codes to redeem, but fewer codes have been released in newer expansions like Renegades. On the contrary, Destiny Rising frequently receives new codes, but these typically expire much faster.

Do Destiny codes expire if you do not claim them fast enough?
