The objective of Ultimate Team is to make your dream football squad. With both online and offline game modes available, it’s entirely up to the players to assemble their squads as they see fit. Just like in real-life football, there’s a healthy player transfer market in FC 26, too. Players are free to buy and sell players with in-game currency called EA FC coins.

The top players are always expensive, so if you aim to have the best performers, you’ll either need to grind coins, win a lot of games, trade up, or invest. EA Sports FC 26 players can also purchase coins to expedite the process; however, if you play your cards right, you’ll have plenty of coins to buy your favorite pros.

Active players are all there, but EA Sports also offers EA FC Icons. The Icons are legendary players from the past, so if your dream team wishlist includes Pele or Maradona, you can add them to your squad. Additionally, there are FUT Heroes, retired footballers who will add value to your team.

Ultimate Team has plenty of modes. Each mode comes with its own set of rules, so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Some players love offline game modes; for them, there’s the Ultimate Team Moments, which offer a chance at rewards. Players can enjoy Friendly Matches both online and offline.

Squad Battles are purely offline games against AI and can give rewards. The Ultimate Team Draft can only be played by paying 15,000 coins or EA FC points. The more you win, however, the better your rewards will be.

Division Rivals allows you to compete in online division matches; take your rank higher to earn better rewards. Lastly, there’s the Weekend League, a highly competitive mode that offers the best rewards in a 20-game gauntlet.

FC 26 Chemistry is Changing

The EA Sports FC 26 release will come with significant changes to Chemistry, primarily in the Boost model. The changes will slow the power curve and enable tactical variety.

Chemistry styles will now increase in increments of three, six, or nine points, whereas previously they increased in increments of four, eight, or 12 points. Naturally, Chemistry Styles will give fewer attribute boosts; a 12-point increment would be 9 in FC 26

Players who previously focused on pace styles will also face harsher trade-offs. Thankfully, other styles that focus on Reactions, Stamina, or Composure will be more effective in FC 26 Ultimate Team. The changes to Chemistry will balance things out, enable strategic player selections, and reduce reliance on meta players.

EA FC 26 Squad Building Challenges

The Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) have been around since FIFA 17. The mode lets players trade in teams for rewards or better players. Players unlocked through this method are not tradeable, have no value, but can be a significant part of your squad. The developers at EA are continually adding new players to the pool, and this year is no exception.

However, we highly recommend researching before you trade in a whole team of valuable players for a single star player. It’s a personal choice; sometimes you want that one dream player on your squad. However, we only recommend doing so for a player whom you’re certain you’ll use a great deal. It feels awful to trade in a whole team for a star who stays on the bench.

How to Build a Good Starter Team

EA Sports FC 26 teams are essential, but striking a balance is also critical, especially at the start. Chasing big names might seem the best strategy, but a good starter team in FC 26 depends more on attributes than ratings. In attackers, prioritize pace and finishing. A lower-rated striker with high pace is better than a slow-moving, higher-rated card.

For defenders, a fast and nimble central defender paired with a strong, tall one is an ideal combo. This combination will strike a balance between speed and improved aerial ability, thereby enhancing defense.

For goalkeepers, we recommend a relaxed player rather than prioritizing a given goalie’s overall rating. Midfielders need to possess good passing skills and stamina, as these are essential for any player called upon to switch regularly between attack and defense.

Keep these principles in mind, and you’ll be well on your way to sporting success.
