Black Ops 7 patch notes reveal new maps for Zombies and Multiplayer

The Black Ops 7 Season 1 Reloaded patch notes are here. Players can now take a look at the changes coming to the game. If you’re a fan of multiplayer and zombies, there are new maps coming to the game, which should be a delight to hear, among other major feature changes.

New B07 maps

In Multiplayer, there are quite a few maps in the pool now. Some of which are new maps entirely, with some getting touch-ups from previous Black Ops games.

Yakei (6v6/2v2)

  • Traverse the rooftops of Japan in this new, small-sized map, bringing Operators up high over the neon-lit streets of the city. Track down enemy targets through the maintenance passage and over a series of ducts, vents, electrical equipment, and other rooftop features, including Wall Jumps to leap after fleeing foes.

Meltdown (6v6)

  • This Black Ops 2 masterclass in map design returns in a stunning remaster as Meltdown comes to Black Ops 7 Multiplayer in the Mid-Season update. Go nuclear on the enemy team in the classic map featuring updated visuals, dynamic lighting, and the same intense moment-to-moment fights that cemented the map’s popularity.

Fringe (6v6)

  • Based on the reimagined version of the map introduced in Black Ops 6 Season 04, Fringe returns, giving players the chance to revisit the idyllic Rolling Hills distillery with new Wall Jump opportunities.

Vault Town

  • This is a re-skinned version of Nuketown, with it getting a Fallout crossover, with the show airing live on Amazon Prime. It’s made even easier by the fact that Microsoft owns both CoD and Fallout as the parent company of Zenimax and Activision.

If you’re into Zombies, there’s a new map for you too. Zarya Cosmodrome is now added to the Survival game mode playlist, offering another area that players can now turn into the classic horde round-based survival area. You will be trapped in a Soviet launch site as you defend the area from the undead.

Multiplayer is not the only thing getting a Fallout crossover. The new LTM mode, Project RADS, brings fiendish critters from Fallout to Zombies. The mode sees Ashes of the Damned and Atra Malorum get enemies like Deathclaws. The crew also gets radiation, which adjusts how players heal. You will need to rely on eating food to heal, at the expense of radiation. But, you can get Rad-X to remove the art Radiation. Make sure to check the Geiger counter to monitor your exposure levels. You will also get Bottle Caps as your currency for more added Fallout-themed aesthetics.

There’s another World Event taking place in the endgame too. An Irradiated Deathclaw walks the lands for players to beat, but it will require CR 45+ rating to adequately challenge it.

New BO7 weapons

As for the regular updates, you get new weapons, featuring the:

  • Sturmwolf 45 SMG
  • Hawker HX Sniper Rifle

There are a few new weapon attachments to get via weekly challenges too, alongside some returning BO6 loadout kits. The  patch features the Shack Charge, Impact Grenade, Thermo Grenade and Morphine Injector and Tactical Insertion Field Upgrades. There’s a ton of new score streaks too coming into the game from BO6.
