Know when you can start Tau Ceti loot runs with these Marathon release times

The whole Marathon pre-release journey has been very up and down, with some calling it dead on arrival but others extremely excited for what Bungie has been cooking up in its first foray into the extraction genre.

If you’re in the latter category, you’ll want to know exactly when Marathon will launch. Below, we’ll reveal the release times, so no matter where you are in the world, you’ll have the vital info on when your Tau Ceti loot runs can begin.

What are the Marathon release times?

As we’re sure you’re aware, if you’ve been following Marathon, whether that’s before or after taking part in the Server Slam beta, the game will launch on March 5, 2026.

For when you can embody various Runner shells and get to taking on UESC forces, here are the Marathon release times for different regions around the world:

LocationLocal date & timeUTC offset
Los Angeles (US)05/03/2026, 10:00UTC+08:00
Chicago (US)05/03/2026, 12:00UTC+06:00
New York (US)05/03/2026, 13:00UTC+05:00
São Paulo (BR)05/03/2026, 15:00UTC+03:00
London (UK)05/03/2026, 18:00UTC+00:00
Paris (FR)05/03/2026, 19:00UTC-01:00
Berlin (DE)05/03/2026, 19:00UTC-01:00
Mumbai (IN)05/03/2026, 23:30UTC-05:30
Tokyo (JP)06/03/2026, 03:00UTC-09:00
Sydney (AU)06/03/2026, 05:00UTC-11:00
Auckland (NZ)06/03/2026, 07:00UTC-13:00

As you can see, this is the same time as when the Server Slam launched. Based on this, and the cadence Bungie’s other title, Destiny 2 uses, it’s pretty safe to say that 10 AM PST (6 PM GMT) will be the time updates get pushed also.

Even though there were a few different Marathon Editions on offer, none of these had an added bonus of accessing the game early. To be fair, this doesn’t really make sense for a multiplayer-only game, not only so everyone can progress at the same time, but also logistically server-wise.
