Super Battle Golf

We are all going clubbing when Super Battle Golf comes out because this looks like carnage

So, I somehow missed the announcement of this yesterday but a colleague pointed it out and now I can’t stop watching the video.

I like quirky golf games. The Everybody’s Golf comeback was the first story I wrote when I started working for The Escapist back in June 2025, and the franchise remains one of my favourite sporting series of all time so I have high hopes for this as it looks ridiculous.

For starters, Super Battle Golf is not golf as we know it. It’s an up to 8-player round with everybody trying to get to the hole first by sabotaging other players’ shots. I kinda wanna say the ethos reminds me a bit of the heady days of Fall Guys before it got sucked into Fortnite.

Now this is exactly the kind of game that could get ruined by fools and idiots, but if you have a bunch of friends to play with, there could be tales told by future bards about what happened in games in years to come. Super Battle Golf is going to cause some rage, that’s clear at this stage.

It’s not exactly hi-fi in terms of graphics and looks a bit like a Quest 3 game, but that will all mean nothing if it is as fun as that video above makes it look. I just want to run over somebody in a golf cart as they steady themselves for a shot, while dressed as a giraffe. Maybe I am having an episode.

Super Battle Golf is scheduled for a release on Steam as soon as February 19th and is developed by Brimstone while being published by Oro Interactive.
