2XKO has finally left early access, meaning it’s about to reach a massive worldwide audience. There’s no shortage of fighting games on the market, so why should people care about this one? Three words: League of Legends. 2XKO is an official League of Legends fighting game, and fans who love that world will be lining up to use its characters in the ring.

The strength of any mascot character lies in its roster. No one would care about Super Smash Bros. if it only had Urban Champion, Balloon Kid, and Tingle. Luckily, 2XKO already has some of the most popular League of Legends Champions in the game, but who exactly is on the roster?
The Escapist recaps
- 2XKO is a 2v2 fighting game featuring characters from League of Legends.
- Some of the Champions in 2XKO are playable from the start, while others need to be unlocked over time.
- Characters are unlocked using Champion Tokens, which can be earned for free, but it’s quicker to buy them.
- More Champions are planned to be added in the future, appearing across its seasons.
How many Champions are in 2XKO at launch?
2XKO will have twelve characters at launch. All but one of these were playable during the early access period, as Caitlyn wasn’t available to most players until the full launch.
2XKO Champion roster
These are the twelve Champions who are present in 2XKO at launch:
Ahri
Ahri is a magic-using Vastaya who specializes in fighting in the air and bringing her spells down onto the enemy. She specializes in ranged combat and is one of the best secondary characters in the game.
Blitzcrank
Blitzcrank is the grappler character of 2XKO, using its massive reach to nab enemies and pull them into painful moves. Once the enemy is within this robot’s grasp, they’re going to have a tough time getting out.
Braum
Braum brought a giant shield to 2XKO, giving him tons of defensive options and temporary invincibility. This goliath might be the best secondary character in the game, as he can tag in to absorb enemy blows with ease, before tagging out and letting allies finish the job.
Caitlyn
2XKO has several ranged weapon users, with Caitlyn bringing a massive gun that’s usually intended for open battlefields. Anyone who is caught in her sights risks being blown out of the arena, as her rifle deals a ton of damage when it hits.
Darius
Need a basic fighting character to learn the ropes? Darius is your guy! His basic melee style and axe swings will help anyone enter the world of 2XKO. This isn’t to say he’s underpowered by any means, as that weapon can still deal a ton of damage when used correctly.
Ekko
Ekko is one of the trickiest characters to master in 2XKO, as his speed, gadgets, and unusual approach take time to learn. Once mastered, this Champion is an utter terror, thanks to his time manipulation and ability to zip across the battlefield at will.
Illaoi
Illaoi comes packing some massive muscles, but they don’t always have to rely on them, thanks to the mystical tentacles they can summon to the battlefield. Under the right circumstances, the enemy is going to face off against a horde of slithering squid arms, as well as one buff Champion.
Jinx
Jinx was always going to be in 2XKO due to her popularity outside League of Legends. She’s pretty good in 2XKO, being able to unleash torrents of bullets, rockets, and traps at enemies from afar.
Teemo
The token bizarre fighting game character with weird mechanics is here, with Teemo and his gadgets. Want to fight the enemy with kids’ toys while earning Scout Badges? Well, Teemo is the fighter for you.
Vi
Vi is the punching character of 2XKO, if the giant metal gloves weren’t a hint enough. Vi unleashes the hurt on her enemies with flurries of blows, while her lightning-fast footwork helps her close the distance.
Warwick
Warwick the werewolf stole a vampire’s gimmick, as he has a special Bloodlust meter that charges up over the course of the battle. Once it’s filled, he becomes even stronger, gaining access to new moves that let him tear through the competition.
Yasuo
The samurai hero is usually one of the most boring and generic characters in fighting games. Not so with Yasuo in 2XKO, whose stance-switching fighting style makes him unpredictable, and his Wind Wall attack obliterates projectiles that come near him.
What Champions are coming to 2XKO in the future?
Assuming the game doesn’t bomb and continues to grow, 2XKO will be adding more Champions over time. While Riot Games hasn’t confirmed which characters will be coming in the future, many assume that Katarina is on the way, as she was spotted in footage in the past.
Other 2XKO leaks have claimed that Akali, Ezreal, Karma, Kindred, Lux, Rengar, Riven, Senna, Sett, Thresh, Samira, and Zed are all on the way. That being said, these are all unconfirmed leaks and should be taken with a grain of salt until confirmed by Riot Games.
Ask The Escapist
2XKO officially left early access on January 20, 2026.
2XKO is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. There’s currently no word regarding a Nintendo Switch 2 port, though it seems likely to receive one in the future.
Nothing. 2XKO is completely free-to-play. The game’s monetization comes from cosmetics and making it easier/quicker to unlock stuff.
Yes, but it will take a while. The game gives you a Champion Token for completing the Advanced Tutorial, but after that is a long slog of grinding and daily logins to get more.
