Netflix often cycles out their movies, because of this they need to replenish their supply with new films. In December, this month, we’re getting a whole slew of great films, so here’s a list of some movies not to miss this coming month. They’re spread out throughout so you aren’t going to be rushed to watch anything.

GĆ„ten Ragnarok, translated to The Riddle Ragnarok, is about an archaeologist who stumbles upon some very serious looking runes in Norway. These runes may tell of the end of the world, or Ragnarƶk. Get ready for some schooling in Norse mythology as this movie looks like it’s full of the stuff. It’s hitting Netflix on December 18th.

The Wolf of Wall Street originally came out in 2013 and it’s finally making it’s way to Netflix. This fantastic film tells the story of Jordan Belfort and his rise to prominence as a stockbroker. If you’re in the mood for a good film check out this, many consider it to be the best film of 2013. It’s going to be available for streaming on December 11th.

Good People has a great cast, it stars James Franco and Kate Hudson. Even with a cast like that they made a pretty bad movie, Rotten Tomatoes gives it 11%, which is far from where you want it to be. Even still this is a chance to watch a train wreck that stars some of the best actors around. How often do you have the chance to watch Tom Wilkinson in a complete piece of shit? Almost never. So take your chances and watch this when it comes out on Christmas day.

The Village was M. Night Shyamalan’s 2004 film about a group of people living in what seems to be the 1800’s. They’re limited to a small area, a clearing, that is surrounded by a dense forest. This isn’t just any forest, it holds dangerous beasts that are very scary and very spiky. Of course since it’s M. Night Shamalamadingdong there’s going to be a twist, so no surprise there. But it’s still worth the watch knowing that at some point you’re going to be “surprised”. This flick becomes available for streaming on December 11th.

I am Ali gives everyone an inside look at what makes Muhammad Ali the larger than life character that he’s become. The film focuses on his personal archive of audio journals, most of which haven’t been heard by anyone outside of family. If you’re a boxing fan, or a fan of pop culture then this movie will be right up your alley. Ali can be considered to be one of the biggest athletes of the 20th century and this film will help us all understand why he’s such a huge figure. I am Ali is going to be streaming as of December 9th.

The The Trip to Italy stars two of the funniest people on the planet, Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. This film follows them around Italy as they eat and talk about whatever enters their minds. The film has an 86% on Rotten Tomatoes so it’s pretty much a must see. If you’re in the mood for awkward conversation and arguing then this is the movie for you, and on December 23 you can check it out yourself on Netflix.

Many of us don’t think of Nick Offerman, Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec, as a comedian. Consider yourself corrected, in Nick Offerman: American Ham he takes to the stage to show us all just how funny he really is. This film should open everyone’s eyes to his comedic prowess, so if you get a chance on or after December 12th, when it finally gets to Netflix, you should watch it.

After watching the original Sharknado we all known that you really wanted a sequel. Thank goodness for Syfy because they heard you and made Sharknado 2: The Second One. This film has a surprising 58% on Rotten Tomatoes which means that it’s bad, but not that bad. So if you enjoy intentionally bad films then look no further than Sharknado 2: The Second One. This came to Netflix on December 6th so go and watch it right now, unless you have something better to do with your time.
