Julianne Margaret Peeler Greer and Dr. Michael Capps were married September 19, 2009, at the Inn at Little Washington in Washington, VA. Reverend Christopher Castle officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Christine Peeler and Steve Peeler of Greensboro, NC. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she is best known to our readers as the founding editor of The Escapist; she served as Editor-in-Chief for the first four years of her tenure, and is now a Contributing Editor-at-Large.
The bridegroom is the son of Dickson and Connie Capps of Winston-Salem, NC. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Naval Postgraduate School, he is best known to our readers as the President of Epic Games, makers of the Unreal and Gears of War series of games and the Unreal Engine.
Following a reception at The Inn, the couple departed for the Tokyo Game Show, where Michael is presenting at an invited session. They look forward to a very loud honeymoon filled with blinking lights and anime characters.
