This week, Holy Killer discusses his waning interest in Asheron’s Call and possible solutions to help him — and those with similar problems — stay in the game.
It has been a long time since I have seen a true new player, who really enjoys the game for its challenge, its adventure, and its mystery. Maybe that’s what I miss most, the mystery. I remember running to points of interest on the map and wondering what great adventure I would happen upon next. The problem now is that I know what’s next. I know what is over the hill; there is no mystery. I look forward to every patch day hoping for a new mystery, a new adventure, but all I find is that people have found out the newest quests in a matter of hours. I wish that there was a new adventure, a new mystery — something that can keep me logged in for hours. I fear it will never come.
