Q: Will my characters be deleted?

A: Absolutely not.

Q: Are the existing servers being moved or new ones set up?

A: Microsoft will be moving its datacenter operations from internal Microsoft datacenters to outside third-party facilities.  This will enable Turbine to easily assume control of these operations when the time comes.

Q: Will there be any downtime associated with the transfer?

A: This is still to be determined, but we will minimize downtime as much as absolutely possible. We hope to have none at all.

Q: Who will I contact for technical and customer support issues?

A: Microsoft will continue to provide technical support for Asheron’s Call 1 and 2 until further notice. Later, Turbine will manage all customer support for the Asheron’s Call series. Microsoft will continue to provide support for authentication and billing services for Asheron’s Call until Turbine is able to deploy its own system.

Q: How does this affect the international customers?

A: Turbine Entertainment will be directly supporting subscribers in Europe.  In Korea, TBL will continue to support their subscribers.
