This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

Studio MDHR finally announced a release date for Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course at The Game Awards 2021, setting a June 30, 2022 date for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The announcement trailer is filled with classic puppetry and the nostalgic animation style that made the game famous in the first place, but the real star is new gameplay from the indie studio’s DLC. Check out a summary for the DLC below:

Brothers Cuphead and Mugman are joined by the clever, adventurous Ms. Chalice for a rollicking adventure on a previously undiscovered Inkwell Isle! With the aid of new weapons, magical charms, and Ms. Chalice’s unique abilities, players will take on a new cast of fearsome, larger than life bosses to assist the jolly Chef Saltbaker in Cuphead’s final challenging quest!

As exciting as it is to finally get a release date for the DLC, the wait for Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course has been long. The expansion content was originally set to arrive sometime in 2020 before MDHR decided to push the release indefinitely due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Two years later, Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course will finally bring its new content to patient players on PC & consoles. See the The Game Awards 2021’s DLC release date announcement trailer below.
