Today, Nintendo announced its latest Indie World Showcase, developer/publisher CD Projekt Red apologized for poor Cyberpunk 2077 optimization on consoles, and more. A Nintendo Indie World Showcase Will Air Tomorrow

As usual, Nintendo hit us with an announcement out of nowhere — an Indie World Showcase will air tomorrow, Dec. 15, at 9 a.m. PT / noon ET. It’ll last around 15 minutes and will focus on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch. Many are hoping for an update on Hollow Knight: Silksong, which was revealed last year, among others.

You Might Be Able to Get a PS5 or Xbox Series X | S at Best Buy Tomorrow

It’s been pretty tough to find a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X | S lately, but you might have luck going through Best Buy tomorrow. The retailer will have stock available online after 8 a.m. CST on Dec. 15. Typically, stock runs out very quickly, so we advise to be ready to go right at that time, even if it ultimately goes up a little later than that. You’ll then be able to use the retailer’s curbside pickup option to retrieve your newly purchased system or have it shipped normally.

Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony Partner to Make Gaming Safer

Earlier today, Xbox Wire published a blog post announcing that Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony have partnered to make gaming safer for everyone online. It laid out a set of principles the three companies plan to follow going forward that ensure players feel safe, which involve “prevention,” “partnership,” and “responsibility.” One thing the post mentioned was that efforts are being made to ensure parental controls are as easy to use as possible. Hopes Rise of Elden Ring Being Shown Off in the Near-ish Future

VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb has a positive track record when it comes to obtaining insider information about video games. So, when Grubb mentioned Elden Ring on a recent episode of GamesBeat’s podcast, our ears perked up. Grubb mentioned that we might get an update on its development soon. In response to the game’s absence at The Game Awards, Grubb said, “They’re obviously working on this game… they didn’t show it here, but I think they probably could have if they wanted to. Cyberpunk 2077 Developer Acknowledges the Game’s Poor PS4 and Xbox One Optimization

Today, CD Projekt RED released a statement about Cyberpunk 2077‘s poor optimization on consoles. In it, the company apologized for the game’s issues and assured that more updates will be released over the next few weeks to ensure the game runs and looks better. It even assured that players could get refunds if they desire, though many PlayStation 4 buyers have reported that Sony has denied refund requests. The full statement can be seen below.
