Greedo’s Last Shot

Greedo is probably the most pitiable victim and least discussed of Lucas’ reviled revisionism. In the original cut, he’s an intimidating (for a Muppet) murderer-for-hire who fatally underestimates his target’s ruthlessness. In the edited version, he’s either blind or high, as he fails to shoot a man sitting literally less than a meter away from him. Even by Star Wars standards, that’s some shockingly poor accuracy.

No doubt Greedo appears in no less than a dozen extended universe books in which he becomes a Jedi or taking part in a passionate but ultimately doomed love affair with Boba Fett, but I think we captured the gist of his character in today’s strip.

As always, you can follow Grey and Cory on Twitter.
