What is unique about your guild?
Several things really. First, the diversity and acceptance of the people. We have people from a couple countries, different lifestyles, different philosophies and yet we all get along great. We expect our members to be mature, honorable individuals but beyond that be who you are. Secondly, our core members are very experienced. We have 100+ years of cumulative gaming experienced, coupled with a repertoire of MMO-genre games exceeding two dozen. Finally, we have a skillful leadership of accomplished players who are accustomed to the trials and tribulations of leading a guild in serious Pvp. We are seasoned Pvpers and leaders and we are bringing all of our knowledge and skills onto the battlefield in AoC.

Who are the people of your guild?
We are a diverse group.. casual gamers, hardcore gamers, families, friends, rpers, pvpers, you name it we can cover it. We are a group of dedicated friends and gamers who came together last year to form a guild that encompasses everything we want in a guild environment. We are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and committed to seeing our guild succeed. We have over 100 years of cumulative gaming experience from our core alone.

What is your take on Role Playing?
We encourage role-playing but we do not require it. Rp encourages a level of immersion in the game and to many this makes the game more enjoyable. The majority of our members do Roleplay to some extent. In order preserve the Rp aspect of the guild we limit /say and /shout to in character only (other channels such as /group or /guild are not regulated). We do expect that everyone within the guild will respect those who choose to rp and we hope that all members will enjoy participating in rp events organized by the guild.

What servers are you gunning on?
We’re an Rp-Pvp guild and we’ll be looking at any server that allows us to best encompass both of those ideals. If the choice is between those two aspects, we’ll choose Pvp.

How do you look at interacting with other guilds?
It honestly depends on how they want to interact with us. We’ll have allies and enemies, just like everyone else. How you treat us and how well you respect our territory will decide which side of the line you’ll be on. Diplomatic relations with Vengeance of the Fang is rather easy. You decide which side of the line you want to be on and act accordingly. We are not interested in griefing or completely destroying others guilds, however, we will pay back in kind everything that is done to us.

How are you structured socially?
Vengeance of the Fang is based loosely on a wolf pack and our ranks express that notion. Petitioners are Pups, young and unproven. Omegas are members that have been given full membership but have not been with us long enough to rise in the pack. Betas are veteren members who we know will stand with the pack against any adversary or issue. Alphas are the leaders of the guild or territory. Fenrir is the overall guild or territory leader.

What is your take on player cities (which type is more important to you?
Player cities are a huge bonus.. it gives everyone a central location to get together and interact. We will use our city as a rally point, a meeting place, and even just a place to get together socially.

What is your take on in-game taxes and loot distribution?
We’ll probably need to feel this out a bit once the game comes out but we’re not really big on forcing members to donate to the guild. Members are expected to help out their guildmates and the guild but the way in which one person help is not the same as another. Taxes will most likely be minimal if we tax at all.

What excites you most about Age of Conan?
Wonderfully diverse classes, player cities, siegeable fortresses and a world that nearly everyone knows of… whats NOT to be excited about?

How are you planning on communicating in-game?
We are devoted Ventrilo users, in fact having ventrilo and being able to listen in (mic and speaking is optional) is required for battles.

What are you looking for in a potential member?
We like individuals. People who can think and act on their own. We are wolves among the sheep. We want people who are mature, honest and friendly. We welcome new and veteran gamers alike, no matter their gaming style, be they casual or power gamers. If you’re interested in joining us, we’ll be happy to have you. A final note: VotF is a mature (18 and older) guild.

How to apply?
Sign up at http://www.vengeance-gaming.org and put your petition into the Pups Den.

Final words:
VotF is awaiting Age of Conan with bated breath. We are very excited to be a part of the AoC community and watch the development of this awe-inspiring game. You’ll see us there on release day and a long time after. Unleash the beast within… you may find you enjoy it.
