Hyrule is the new Westeros.
Although we sadly won’t be getting a live-action Zelda series anytime soon, we do have something to help ease the sting. The Megasteakman team has added some old school Hyrule flavor to the Game of Thrones intro to create the “Game of Hyrule” opening sequence.
Kial Natale, Adamah Vanarsdale, and Edgar Abreu-Lanza are responsible for this impeccable rendition of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past world map including old standbys Hyrule Castle and Kakariko village, among other favored landmarks.
We can also thank composer Mattia Cupelli for the beautiful blend of Game of Thrones and Zelda tunes. Now if we could just get a Cupelli version of The Song of Storms, I’d be a happy camper.
There are so many details jammed into this one minute video that you could spend the rest of your day trying to find them all, not that that’s a bad thing. I’ll certainly be joining you on your quest.
