LittleBigPlanet 3 Arrives in November 2014

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

All user-created levels from LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet 2 will be compatible with the newest Sackboy adventure.

Sackboy is getting three new friends in LittleBigPlanet 3. The adorable protagonist of the puzzle platformer will be joined by Oddsock, a dog-like creature with the ability to wall jump. Toggle, Sackboy’s biggest and strongest friend, can move heavy blocks and press down large buttons. Toggle can also become small, allowing him to move through tiny crevices. The third new companion is Swoop, a bird who can fly and carry other players around the level. The abilities of the three new characters add complexity to the puzzles in Little Big Planet 3, requiring four players to work together to complete the levels. Little Big Planet 3 will also be compatible with all 8.7 million player-created levels from LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet 2. LittleBigPlanet 3 is set for a November 2014 release on PlayStation 4.

LittleBigPlanet 3 introduces Sackboy and his friends to the mysterious planet Bunkum. The game also introduces Newton, a new evil enemy who threatens the world of imagination.

The LittleBigPlanet community reached 8 million unique levels created by players in July 2013. The levels, built using the games’ creation tools, have been created across the PS3, PSP, and PS Vita releases of the game.
