Mercenaries is New Expansion For Galactic Civilizations III

Stardock unveils new Mercenaries expansion for Galactic Civilizations III, coming out this month.

Two new races are coming to galaxy and you can find out all about them in Stardock’s upcoming expansion to Galactic Civilizations III entitled Mercenaries.

The warrior-like Arceans have been around for centuries and rely on honor in combat. The aquatic Torians have been enslaved and used as food by the Dregnin, and they are looking to get out from under the boot of that oppressive race. Each race will have its own traits, abilities, and tech trees. The Torians will also have a campaign in the expansion.

The campaign requires players to hire mercenaries from new Intergalactic Bazaars to assist the Torians in their freedom and expand across the galaxy. There will be 70 unique mercenary ships and multiple Bazaars to discover on each map.

In addition, Stardock is releasing a 1.6 patch to the main game that includes more detailed match results, AI improvements, visual updates and balance improvements.

The game is set for release on February 18 for $19.99.
