Yep, that fireball does look pretty impressive.
The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot has been dangling its shiny treasures in front of our eyes for a while now, but for the first time we get a good look at the main character classes in the game. Did somebody say Knights? How about a trusty Archer? Plus, of course, Wizards, everyone’s favorite rabbit-in-hat merchants. The gang’s all here, each of them eager to bust into his neighbor’s treasure vaults and make merry with the contents. Possibly too merry, in Painhammer’s case. Put some pants on, man! You’ll frighten the horses!
Opulencia, the land of floating castles and epic housing costs, is where you’ll be staying. With any luck your raiding will soon net you a substantial cash bonus. “If you’re not spending your every waking moment obsessed with the size of your treasure pile,” says the official site, “then your neighbors will think something’s very wrong with you.” But your obsessions spark theirs, which is why you need traps and minions to keep them out. Problem being, what kind of traps work best against wizards? What minions are tough enough to stand up and take a blow from the Painhammer? Is there any obstacle a jumping jackrabbit archer can’t overcome? Decisions, decisions …
This will be a free to play, when it finally launches, and no, there doesn’t seem to be a date on that yet. It’s still in closed testing. But if the developers are confident enough in the tests to keep putting these videos out, maybe a trip to the land of floating treasure palaces isn’t that far off.
