New Armored Core Game Details Allegedly Leak in FromSoftware Survey

FromSoftware might be releasing a new Armored Core game, according to an allegedly leaked consumer survey. First information on the survey came from Resetera user Red Liquorice (via VGC), who shared loads of details on the supposed reveal. The post says that the survey featured 30 seconds of gameplay, screenshots, and a full description of the supposed entry. Some highlights include the promise that the new Armored Core game will feature a “sci-fi world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki” with “a vast field that represents a multi-layered world.”

FromSoftware’s new Armored Core game will supposedly be a third-person shooter mecha action game with a vast amount of freedom. It promises tough enemies that will do battle from “both long and short range using guns and blades.” Mech customization seems to be one of the game’s key features as usual. You can see two screenshots of the information below, including a supposed story synopsis:

Melange, an unknown substance that could dramatically advance human society. In the past, this substance caused a cosmic catastrophe on planet Bashtar that engulfed the surrounding star systems, and eventually its very existence was lost. Decades later, the Melange reaction was confirmed again on planet Bashtar. In search of the unknown substance that should have been lost, various speculations begin to swirl. Various parties are getting involved; The government, corporations, cultists, and unknown mercenaries… The protagonist is one of them.

FromSoftware is only a little more than a month away from launching its highly anticipated open-world RPG, Elden Ring. The studio has been busy adding to the Soulslike sub-genre it established for the last decade. Armored Core, meanwhile, is a franchise the studio had left behind, with the last title in the series releasing back in 2013. If FromSoftware is indeed working on another entry in the cult-classic mecha action series, it’s probably best to wait for the studio to make an official announcement before getting your hopes up. Until then, stay tuned for more information on a potential new Armored Core.
