Escape from Duckov

Escape from Duckov: Despite being about ducks it is absolutely flying on Steam

Okay, so it’s only really domesticated ducks that can’t fly, but you try coming up with duck puns all day, every day.

Escape from Duckov, as we told you last week, had got off to a solid start when it launched on Steam, but its current numbers are putting it up there with some of the biggest games of the year.

In terms of current players on Battlefield 6, and the permanently up there CS2, Dota 2, and PUBG Battlegrounds are above it as it has, at the time of writing, some 145,000 players in-game, which is pretty fantastic.

The devs describe Duckov as: ” a funky and adorable duck-themed single-player top-down PvE extraction shooter. Unlike hardcore tactical shooters, the game features cartoonish enemies, fog-of-war mechanics, and randomly dropped loot. Set in a mysterious egg-shaped world that’s slowly falling apart, players customize their own duck and set out to escape the planet by crafting a rocket ship. Combined with base-building, weapon customization, and in-depth progression systems, it offers high replayability that will keep players coming back for more.”

Where to find the bronze pocket watch in Escape from Duckov

One of the puzzles that appears to be catching out our ducks, though, is the location of the bronze pocket watch/key that you need to complete a quest.

You are told: “There is a pocket watch, and I need it very much now, don’t ask why. It is in a tanker truck at the east end of the road. I can’t find the car key either. You have to find the key and then get the pocket watch back.”

To find the bronze pocket watch, you need to head to Ground Zero and hunt around in the cars to the east of the sewer, but before you do, you will need to get the car key, which can be purchased from the vending machine in the safehouse.

It’s not difficult as such, but if you think you have looked everywhere, check again.
