Pokémon Pokopia may be a chilled, relaxing experience, but there is already a time-limited event to stress over

Pokémon Pokopia has barely been out in the wild for a few hours, and already The Pokémon Company and Game Freak have dropped a time-limited event to ensure you keep playing over the game’s opening days.

Bringing with it three new Pokémon that will only be available to find during the event means you’d better be playing from Day One if you are one of those who like to make sure you have caught them all.

When does the More Spores for Hoppip event end?

According to the official source:

More Spores for Hoppip,” will run from Monday, March 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. to Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 12:59 p.m. PDT.

During the event period, you’ll be able to befriend the Hoppip, the Cottonweed Pokémon. Special cotton spores that can be collected will also appear during this time. Once you’ve gathered some, they can be exchanged for picnic-themed furniture items. By using these items to create habitats, you’ll be able to befriend Skiploom and Jumpluff, too.

These Pokémon can’t be encountered outside of this event, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to welcome these new friends to your towns.”

More Spores for Hoppip seems as though it will be the first of several time-limited events, so if you were hoping you might be able to chill with the game and come back to it as and when you please, well, you still can, but you might also miss out on some cool stuff.

If you are hell-bent on getting along with three new pals, it is worth noting there are also a couple of limitations, one of which is time and one which is mode-based.

“Please note that this event will only be available in towns with a rebuilt Pokémon Center, and it will not be available on Cloud Islands.”

So if you are playing along nicely on multiplayer, maybe even on your original Switch via GameShare, these new guys are not for the likes of you.
