Terra Invicta

Terra Invicta – here’s a list of console commands to help you bend the space opera to your will

Terra Invicta finally sets sail into the galaxy from Early Access and it looks like it is going to be a great time-sponge. With elements of grand strategy alongside classics such as UFO: Enemy Unknown, there is no doubting that TI has great space appeal.

Pavonis Interactive and Hooded Horse have also given us the opportunity to mess around with the game’s internals as we play with some handy Console Commands that let us change aspects of the game with a simple line of text. So, as we lead one of the game’s seven factions, let’s see how we can twist things a little more to our liking, shall we?

All Terra Invicta Console Commands explained

Below, courtesy of Hooded Horse, we have listed all the Console Commands that currently work in the game. There are a few more that, if you use them, break everything, so we have avoided listing them here, but for a definitive list of everything to type in, you can check this page.

We have listed the command, its effect and any parameters you can add on, alongside an example where needed.

Note that while the commands are not case-sensitive, the parameters absolutely are.

How to use Console Commands in Terra Invicta

The console will not be active from the off as it is primarily intended for dev purposes and not gameplay, so you are going to need to edit a text file to get access.

The game’s console can be enabled by editing the following file in the game’s folder with a text editor: TerraInvicta_Data\StreamingAssets\Templates\TIGlobalConfig.json

In the second half there is the following line: “debug_ConsoleActive”: false,. Set it to true and save the file. Note that certain game updates might overwrite the file, requiring another edit.

The console can then be opened with the ~ key.
