The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is looking to potentially scratch that Mass Effect itch, being heavily inspired by the franchise, coupled with its futuristic space theme, and decision-making that could change the course of your playthrough.
It doesn’t launch until 2027, but there is a way you can get in now and experience a small snippet ahead of the full 1.0 release next year.
Here’s what you need to know to be a part of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Beta, and you can read what we think of it in our feature that has just gone live.
How to get The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Beta access
If any of the above has got you even a little bit intrigued as to what The Expanse: Osiris Reborn has to offer, there is still a way you can get into the Beta, launching on April 22, 2026.
The unfortunate part is that you will have to reach into your wallet and put some cash down, since Beta access is tied to pre-ordering the game.
And not any edition of the game, either. You will need to own the Miller’s Pack or Collector’s Edition, which set you back $79.99 and $289, respectively.
Each of these is a hefty amount of money, but they do come with a load of other extras, not just beta access, including the likes of your name in the credits. For the full scoop on what’s included, head over to the official website for the game.
In terms of what the Beta entails, you’re looking at an early slice of the game, featuring a full opening mission that sets the stage for what’s to come in the complete package.
During the segment, you’ll head to Pinkwater 4 station, get acquainted with a range of its inhabitants, take on a formidable foe, and begin your journey as a newly minted captain.
As previously mentioned, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Beta goes live on April 22, 2026, and will be available on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
Something to note, however, is that since this is a pre-release build, performance can vary depending on your setup and won’t necessarily reflect the final version of the game.
Basically, what we’re saying is temper your expectations on those frame rates since we’re still a year out on the full launch date.
