The Plants vs. Zombies console shooter will suffer an epic one-week delay.
The release date for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, a third-person shooter based on the popular mobile series, has been pushed back one week, developer Popcap announced today. Originally set to arrive on Xbox One and Xbox 360 February 18, Garden Warfare will now hit stores February 25 in North America and February 27 in Europe.
In PvZ: Garden Warfare, players take control of both the plants and the zombies, shooting the crap out of each other in 12-on-12 team games, or working together in a four-player co-op adaptation of the original PvZ, where the plants defend their home from zombie invaders. The developer diary above shows off a some “Garden Ops” gameplay – yes, that is what the co-op is called – and reveals a couple of new co-op bosses, the Yeti and Giga-Gargantuar zombies.
