When I was a kid, Superman was a god in spandex and Batman was a guy who liked gadgets. Since then they’ve done a lot to close the gap by making Superman more mortal and Batman more heroic.

But I still have the Superfriends model in my head. Superman could push the Earth around in space, and Batman could give rides to people.
