Publisher Humble Games and developer Crema have announced a September 6, 2022 release date for Temtem 1.0 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC via Humble Store and Steam. The game is an MMORPG with a heavy Pokémon flavor that has been available in early access on PC since January 2020 and on PS5 since December 2020.

The full 1.0 release of Temtem will be available to purchase physically upon its release date this September, including a collector’s edition that contains a statue, three temcards, patches, pins, and a special box. That version will retail for $99.99, and it is available for preorder now. Listings for the standard edition should go live at retailers soon.

The Temtem 1.0 release date trailer outlines the Pokémon-ish experience that lies in store, and there are indeed eight Dojo Leaders to defeat across six islands. However, the game’s time in early access has proven that it is more than a simple clone. Chiefly, one of the major gameplay differences is that you can enjoy your adventure in co-op, exploring or battling alongside a friend. Weekly quests also appear as an incentive to keep playing, and there will be battle passes with free and premium content that add more. The game is likely to keep you busy for a while, at least.
