Both of the current gen controllers are a vast improvement over their predecessors, in my opinion (especially the DS4), but they’re both flawed. The DS4’s build quality is atrocious, with peeling sticks and degenerating triggers being the rule rather than the exception. The Xbox One pad is a stronger offering, but the weirdly-hinged bumper buttons do not, play nice with longer fingers. Pressing the button is fine, but holding it for any length of time is uncomfortable unless you transition into an unnatural claw grip and catch the button right on its outer edge. Hopefully, the as-of-yet unannounced new version fixes that issue, and maybe tightens the sticks up a little.

Meanwhile, the WII U pad has its buttons and right analogue stick upside down. Because, Nintendo.

You can follow Grey and Cory on Twitter or you can watch them play videogames poorly on YouTube. Or both. All three. Whatever.
