The Escapist recaps
- Warframe: The Old Peace brings new weapons, and one of them is the Vinquibus.
- As the first of its kind, this bayonet can be used both as a primary and a melee weapon.
- While it’s the signature weapon of the Warframe Uriel, it can be used in any kind of arsenal.
How to get the Vinquibus
To get the Vinquibus, you must play the Descendia game mode, accessible from the Dark Refractory menu. You can get one of the Vinquibus blueprints at the end, and a resource called Maphica, which you can use to also buy the many items at Roathe’s shop in Sanctum Anatomica.
The main blueprint costs 35 Maphica, and the component blueprints each cost 25 Maphica. Keep in mind that you’ll need to build the components before building the weapon:
| Vinquibus Main Blueprint | |
| Vinquibus Blade x1, Vinquibus Stock x1, Vinquibus Barrel x1, Vinquibus Receiver x1, Credits x15,000 | 72 Hours |
| Vinquibus Blade | |
| Agnovidisc x825, Laudavi x200, Servoris x130, Credits x15,000 | 12 Hours |
| Vinquibus Stock | |
| Agnovidisc x625, Laudavi x530, Servoris x85, Credits x15,000 | 12 Hours |
| Vinquibus Barrel | |
| Agnovidisc x325, Laudavi x350, Servoris x 120, Credits x15,000 | 12 Hours |
| Vinquibus Receiver | |
| Agnovidisc x725, Laudavi x250, Servoris x95, Credits x15,000 | 12 Hours |
How to use and mod the Vinquibus
You must separately mod Vinquibus on each weapon slot it occupies. However, using a Forma to change a slot’s polarization will apply to both setups, so you must keep that in mind if you want to min-max your build.
You can always circumvent this mechanic by using Omni Formas, but it will cost you more to obtain them, either through Platinum or by crafting them.
If you’re using Vinquibus as a primary weapon, it’ll trigger the Vinquibus Precision buff, increasing melee damage by 250%, stacking up to 16 times. Using it as a melee weapon will also activate the Vinquibus Ferocity effect, increasing primary Ammo Efficiency by 100%, also stacking up to 16 times.
Don’t stay in one mode for too long, as you’ll have a better time by changing modes while the buffs are up, so always fight in both ways. It’s also worth noting that, even though this is Uriel’s signature weapon, it doesn’t have any special synergy with him, so you can combine it with other warframes.
Warframe Vinquibus best build
| Vinquibus Primary Build (x5 Omni Formas) | |
| Arcanes | |
| Primary Arcane – Primary Deadhead | On Headshot Kill: +120% Damage for 24 seconds. Stacks up to 3 times +30% to Headshot Multiplier-50% Weapon Recoil |
| Mods | |
| Exilus Mod – Stabilizer | -60% Weapon Recoil |
| Mod #1 – Primary Acuity | +350% Weak Point Damage +350% Weak Point Critical Chance. Multishot cannot be modified. |
| Mod #2 – Galvanized Scope | On Headshot: +120% Critical Chance when Aiming for 12 seconds On Headshot Kill: +40% Critical Chance when Aiming for 12 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times. |
| Mod #3 – Galvanized Aptitude | +80% Status Chance On Kill: +40% Direct Damage per Status Type affecting the target for 20 seconds. Stacks up to 2 times. |
| Mod #4 – Serration | +165% Damage |
| Mod #5 – Vital Sense | +120% Critical Damage |
| Mod #6 – Critical Delay | +200% Critical Chance -20% Fire Rate (x2 for Bows) |
| Mod #7 – Malignant Force | +60% Toxin +60% Status Chance |
| Mod #8 – Cryo Rounds | +90% Cold |
As a primary weapon, Vinquibus excels at taking single targets, so you’ll be good at picking apart groups by sniping specific enemies in combat. To capitalize on this, Primary Acuity, Galvanized Scope, and Primary Deadhead will buff your headshots and weak point hits.
Then, you want the Critical Chance and Damage to go above and beyond, so Critical Delay and Vital Sense will significantly improve that. Add more raw power with Serration, some extra Status with Galvanized Aptitude, and two status mods of your choice. Last, having Stabilizer on your Exilus slot will prevent you from having too much recoil
| Vinquibus Melee Build (x5 Omni Formas) | |
| Arcanes | |
| Melee Arcane – Melee Afflictions | Enemies affected by Status Effects gain 6 additional stacks when they’re knocked down or flung by melee attacks. |
| Mods | |
| Aura Mod – Harrowing Spire | |
| Exilus Mod – Dispatch Overdrive | On Heavy Attack Hit: +60% Movement Speed for 15 seconds |
| Mod #1 – Condition Overload | +80% Melee Damage per Status Type affecting the target |
| Mod #2 – Galvanized Steel | +110% Critical Chance (x2 for Heavy Attacks) On Melee Kill: +30% Critical Damage for 20 seconds. Stacks up to 4 times. |
| Mod #3 – Blood Rush | +40% Critical Chance stacks with Combo Multiplier |
| Mod #4 – Amalgam Organ Shatter | +85% Critical Damage +60% Heavy Attack Wind Up Speed |
| Mod #5 – Killing Blow | +120% Melee Damage On Heavy Attack +60% Heavy Attack Wind Up Speed |
| Mod #6 – Primed Reach | +3 Range |
| Mod #7 – Voltaic Strike | +60% Electricity +60% Status Chance |
| Mod #8 – Virulent Scourge | +60% Toxin +60% Status Chance |
On the melee side, Vinquibus has very high Crit Damage, Raw Damage, and long Reach, so you can do some serious crowd control if needed. There’s good synergy going on with Condition Overload, Voltaic Strike, Virulent Scourge, and Primed Reach, as Heavy attacks will fling enemies in the air, creating an aggressive chain reaction with Melee Afflictions.
Then Killing Blow, Galvanized Steel, Amalgam Organ Shatter, Blood Rush, and Dispatch Overdrive will also boost the Heavy Damage, Critical Damage, and Critical Chance, something that results in the Vinquibus having some serious horsepower whenever you do a Heavy Slam Attack.

You can play Warframe for free on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation5, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.
You don’t need Uriel to get this weapon, as they’re unlocked separately, and you can add it to any arsenal that benefits from it.
You can immediately unlock the Vinquibus by purchasing it on the Warframe market for 240 Platinum. However, you must be Mastery Rank 14 to use it.
