AEanna came over and sat down beside them.
"No idea. The last thing I remember was Jio firing his blades at Regulus last night. No doubt it was something to do with him though." She looked at Jin.
"What is the matter, Jin? What happened last night?"

"Wait, Regulus is back?"
Tophat says, looking very suprised.

Jin barely heard AEanna. "Satan... Regulus released... Satan." He was barely audible and his voice threatened to crack.

"So where's Jio?"
Tophat asks with a dread.

AEanna nodded gravely at Tophat before looking back to Jin.

"Satan? The master of demons that Jio imprisoned within himself? Oh, things just get better and better!" Then her tone softened.
"And what of Jio? Is he..."

"How fairs the Litany?" Tarkus asked. "Not well, four artefacts hold it within the warp and you will have to search for them, I am needed aboard." Tarkus nodded. "Of course Brother Apothecary, no reinforcements." Grodian shooks his head and stopped as they arrived beside the fallen marines. "Every Battle Brother able to bear arms is needed aboard, you must do this Tarkus." He said crouching down and bringing his arm mounted Narthecium over the first marine. It penetrated the power armour before inserting a needle into the body to recover the first Gene-seed fragment.

"The Soul Gem... His soul was trapped in it."

"Oh Divines." AEanna gasped in horror. "Jin, I am so sorry."

"Where is it? I might be able to get him out of there."

OOC: Back, I've been lurking. I'll only be on for a little while.

EMily and her sisters woke up to the sound of Jin and Tophat conversing.

"The girls... They have it... Put it in their pocket dimension."

"Do you think you can? Such a thing has... I do not recall anyone having succeeded at such a goal before." AEanna said to Tophat.

"I'll check with them."
Tophat walks over to EMily and her sisters.
"Excuse me, do you have the soul gem with Jio in it?"

The sisters had a grim look upon their faces.
"Just before Satan left, he dropped off not only the Soul Gem, but also the Key of Solomon. I shall fetch it."

EMily's hand went invisible as it shifted over to the ethereal plane to grab it. Her hand appeared solid once again as it held the heavy soul gem, and the Key.

"This is it." She handed them over to Tophat.

EMily couldn't contain herself, she hugged and teared into Sara's apron. Winona and Sara returned the hug to her.

"I just need the soul gem."

OOC: Doesn't TopHat remember what the Key is? Remember the first battle with Satan, and how TopHat was able to contact Jio from within Satan and that he mentioned the Key?

OoC: Oh god I don't remember that! I thought Tophat just fired at Satan with a tank.

Within the Soul Gem.
Jio found himself in darkness and nothingness. No even a speck of light. "Where am I?"
There was no response. "I guess I should try to find my way out. There has to be something. Damn Satan and Regulus."
Jio feels the slightest hint of momentary warmth. "Was I imagining that?" He pauses for a moment .
"Guess there's no other way to go."

Jin ignored the group.

OoC: The Key of Solomon is a S rank O-Part with over 100 effects. It was Ruby's pendant and a gift from her father. It also has the ability to awaken Angel recipes that have not yet realized their power. It was embedded in Jio's hand after the events of Rock Bird in the manga, which included Cross awakening to his powers and Satan absorbing Ruby's soul to regenerate his body after taking an attack from Cross's angel form.

Jio shakes his head. "He's too strong. If I could simply take control like that I would have. Ruby's pendant was actually the Key of Solomon. It's both a high ranking O-Part and posses the ability to awaken angels. It should weaken his mind enough. And if you can get the others to call to me, I should be able to take control."

Tarkus sent Caim and Lysandros to check on what was happening while Gordian continued retrieval.

AEanna watched Tophat take the soul gem from EMily, then looked back to Jin. His despair was palpable, and she wished there was something she could do for him.
"Take heart, Jin." She said quietly. "I do not know if it is possible to recover someone from a soul gem, but if anyone can do it, it is Tophat."

Tophat took the soul gem and put it in itself.
(To Jio: Hello in there! You feeling alright?)

Lysandros and Caim came over to the collective of people with thundering steps. "Better calm yourself Brother Lysandros." Lysandros scoffed. "Whatever do you mean Brother?" Caim didn't dignify the statement with a response instead looking down at Jin. "What wrong with him?"

AEanna glanced up at the Space Marines.
"Another of our companions fell last night. He and Jin were old, dear friends." She said quietly.

Jin didn't look at AEanna. "Even if he can, it won't be that easy."

There was no response from within the Soul Gem. Jio was far too lost within it to hear Tophat to reach him.

OoC: Going with the idea that the Soul Gem is sort of a alternate dimension within itself. @Random that work?

OOC: @Saltyk That sounds about right.

"No, it will not. But it may not be impossible. Pray that it can be done, and perhaps the Divines will take pity and aid him."

Hm.
"Right, I'm going to try and head into the soul gem a tad. My body will almost certainly collapse."
Tophat sent about a third of itself into the soul gem.
Well this is strange.

OOC: We need a tesseract labyrinth (@Ven I'm looking at you to understand that joke). anyway I've just got back from a REALLY late study session so ima sleep and leave this to you guy's so GLHF until i get back and use an orbital bombardment, consisting of thermonuclear missiles, on the planet........unless you talk the orks out of it? Within the Soul Gem, Jio continues to drift hoping to find something.

OoC: Gonna have to leave, soon. So, this won't be getting far.

Caim looked at Jin before kneeling down. Lysandros looked at him with disdain under his helmet. "Friends eh? never had many of them." Caim says.

OOC: @Ven plz explain what a 'battle barge' is to RandomBerk. ima sleep glhf.

"You got a problem, tin man?" Jin said standing up and bringing up Ashura. As he did it lit aflame, but the flame was different from his usual one. This one was black rather than blue.

OOC: Gonna leave too, got my last final in an hour. I'll be back with 0 finals left for my undergrad years. :)

"If you'll excuse us. We just... need some time to think to ourselves."

The three sisters head into the ethereal plane.

"That is unfortunate." AEanna replied to Caim. Retuning her attention to Jin she said.
"Then I shall. Meanwhile, just try not to lose hope." She rose to her feet as Jin confronted Caim and stood ready to intervene if it was called for.
