This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Little bit of stream-crossing, as Activision confirms a pair of Ghostbusters video games.

In a press release today, Activision confirmed the rumored Ghostbusters video game, which will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in July. The game is set to take place after the events of the new movie, but will feature an entirely new cast of characters. According to the press release, the game will be a third-person action rpg that will support couch co-op for up to four players. As reported by USA Today, the game will release on July 12 in the US, while the game will hit on July 15 in Europe.

“As rookie Ghostbusters, players can level up their characters’ gear and abilities by tackling objectives, defeating ghastly creatures and discovering hidden collectibles in Manhattan’s most haunted haunts,” the release reads. “There are four heroes to choose from, and each has his or her own unique personality and play style, bringing special strengths to support the team.”

Meanwhile, Activision also announced a second Ghostbusters game, also with a new cast, titled Ghostbusters: Slime City. This is a mobile title, which is also expected to release in July.

“Team up with other players in asynchronous co-op, and collect powerful ghosts to rise to the top of the leaderboards,” it’s described. “Players can also craft their own proton packs from any number of combinations of components, as well as upgrade their own headquarters and complete jobs around the city for new weapons and rewards.”
