How to Reroll Unit Traits in Anime Fantasy: RE

You can reroll Traits on a Unit in AF: RE by spending Reroll Shards or Reroll Tokens at the Traits (Esdeath) NPC in the main lobby. Depending on the rarity of a Unit, rerolling a trait can cost more than one Reroll Shard. One thing to note is that most of the Anime Fantasy: RE community refers to both Reroll Shards and Reroll Tokens as Trait RRs. However, only Reroll Shards are tradeable. So, in trade, Trait RRs mean Reroll Shards.

Sub-Traits Explained

When rerolling Traits in AF: RE, there is a slight chance your Unit receives two of them at the same time. The second Trait counts as a Sub-Trait, which means that only 33% of its effect applies to your Unit. Trying to get something like double Xenith Traits on a Unit yields diminishing returns. So, it is generally not recommended to reroll Traits until you get a decent Sub-Trait as well.

How to Get Trait Rerolls (Reroll Tokens and Reroll Shards)

There are multiple ways to get both Reroll Tokens and Reroll Shards in Anime Fantasy: RE. Reroll Tokens are the rarer of the two because you can only get them from Codes and the in-game Shop using Robux. Reroll Shards are available from basically every game mode and in-game mechanic. Here is a list of mechanics through which you can get some amount of Reroll Shards each day:

  • Time Chamber (AFK Rewards)
  • Reroll Transfer
  • Level Milestones
  • Events
  • Quests
  • Challenges
  • Weekly Champion challenge
  • Raid Shop
  • Luxxy’s Shop

That sums up our Anime Fantasy: RE Traits list. Now, you should be ready to maximize the potential of your best Units. If you want to read more of our Roblox content, then check out the Roblox hub here on The Escapist.

Matija's been obsessed with getting better at games for as long as he can remember. Whether it's climbing to Challenger in League of Legends or losing sleep over games like Hearts of Iron IV and Europa Universalis IV, he's always trying to min-max in everything he plays. On Roblox, he puts that same mindset into games like Anime Adventures, Anime Rangers X, and Anime Card Clash by diving deep into the mechanics to figure out what actually works. When he's not grinding games, he's probably watching anime or messing around on his electric guitar, trying (and occasionally failing) to nail anime openings and 90's Japanese rock'n' roll.
