Apple’s Campus is Much… Blockier in Minecraft Form

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Can you believe it took two years to put to this massive model together!?

I know what you’re thinking. Yes, Minecraft creations lost their novelty a long time ago and you aren’t that interested in seeing another one. Well you should still take a look. Why? Because Minecraft player Michael Steeber spent two years building this incredibly detailed replica of 1 Infinite Loop – Apple’s corporate campus in Cupertino, CA – and it shows.

Way more than an approximation of the campus buildings, Steeber paid attention to the courtyards, the roads around campus and included extraneous features like the campus’ cafe. It figures that someone such a serious Mac obsession couldn’t help but mix his work and his passion, so you may not be surprised to find out that Steeber is a video editor for the Apple-centric news site 9to5Mac.

Steeber posted a more detailed process story and a link to download the map on his website. Unfortunately, the site seems to be down at this time, but here’s a link for when and if it comes back up.
