UbiSoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed, the anticipated action-adventure game set during the time of the Crusades, has gone gold.
The game is now set for launch on November 13 for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Gamers who pre-order the game from GameStop will also receive an exclusive Assassin’s Creed art book with the game.
“We’ve been working very hard for nearly four years to make Assassin’s Creed a reality and now there is a confirmed date when players will get to experience the results of our efforts,” said Assassin’s Creed Producer Jade Raymond. “This is a huge event for the team. Our biggest reward will be everyone having a lot of good solid fun.”
Assassin’s Creed is set in 1191 during the Third Crusade, putting players in the role of Altair, a member of the Hashshashin sect who must murder nine historical figures who are behind the Crusades, unveiling a larger conspiracy as he goes. A collector’s edition of the game, featuring an Altair figurine, bonus disc and other extras, is also being released.
