Be “A Beautiful, Gooey Snake,” In Soft Body

New twist on twin-stick gameplay bound for Sony platforms.

A trailer has been released for Soft Body, a twin-stick action puzzle game by developer Zeke Virant coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. In the game, players will control two snakes independently to paint shifting levels of geometric shapes while avoiding enemy bullets in a pacifistic spin on the twin-stick shooter.

The game will feature two single-player modes, with a “Soft” mode aimed at helping players get accustomed to play by assuming control over the second snake if the player leaves it idle. The “Hard” mode makes players control both snakes at all times and the round ends if either is struck by an enemy bullet.

A cooperative multiplayer mode will also be included, which Virant plans to reveal at a later date.

In addition to releasing on PS4 and Vita (where the title will be available as a cross-buy purchase for both platforms), the game will also be headed to PC and Mac on Steam. Soft Body is expected to release later this year.
