Being a Real-Life Fruit Ninja Is Harder Than It Looks

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Who knew it was so difficult to slice small flying objects in half?

Halfbrick’s Fruit Ninja is one of the most popular games on the iOS store right now, in its compelling retelling of one of the most timeless narratives in human history: The epic feud of ninjas and fruit. Ninjas hate fruit.

It’s true that the ninja on your iPhone or iPad may be able to effortlessly slice through flying melons and berries and citrus fruits with a mere swipe of your finger, splattering the wall behind them with angrily slashes of juice and pulp.

Trying the same thing in real life, though? As we see in the video here, it doesn’t go to well. Dude needs to seriously brush up on his ninja skills – or at least stop using kitchen cutlery as his weapon.
