Bioware Forms Handheld Game Group

Bioware has announced plans to develop a new game for the Nintendo DS.

Bioware has announced that Dan Tudge, former president and founder of Exile Interactive, will be project director on Bioware’s new handheld game development group. “We’re thrilled to have Dan leading our new handheld group,” said Ray Muzyka, CEO of BioWare. “Dan has an exceptional pedigree of game development, and we’re excited to have him bring his proven track record of successful games to BioWare’s new DS project!”

While details about the game have not been released, Bioware recently sent out a survey to community members asking some specific questions about handheld games, such as, “Would you buy a handheld RPG based on classic BioWare series such as Baldur’s Gate, Star Wars: KOTOR or Neverwinter Nights?”

Bioware also has new job openings in Edmonton to fill out the team.
