Call of Duty: Ghosts Launch Trailer Brings a Dog to a Wolf Fight

This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

The Call of Duty: Ghosts launch trailer finally reveals why it’s so important to have a dog on the team.

An awful lot happens in the new Call of Duty: Ghosts launch trailer. An aircraft carrier blows up and a jet crashes and a guy rappels face-first into a burning building – because that’s how all the cool kids do it – and someone ducks under a rolling helicopter and then we all go swimming while Eminem drops a pulsing backbeat that no good guerrilla conflict should be without. But the highlight – the absolute, unquestionable peak moment – has to be when the evil, presumably Brazilian wolves show up. Because you’ve got a dog, right? He needs something to do too!

And then a guy walks down the side of a building and we go into space and it is, as they say, just another day in the CoD universe. I can’t say it doesn’t look like fun, but it’s all a bit much, isn’t it?

And why does it look like that person in the spacesuit hanging on for dear life at the very end is being pulled “down” by gravity, anyway? Aren’t they in, like… space?

Hey man, I just work here. Call of Duty: Ghosts comes out on November 5 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC, November 15 for the PlayStation 4 and November 22 for the Xbox One.
