While we wait for the public outing of BioShock Infinite‘s gameplay trailer, Irrational Games is revealing details about the game daily.
If all you know about BioShock Infinite is that it’s BioShock in a floating city with new characters, Irrational wants to teach you otherwise. The developer will be releasing a gameplay trailer to the public on September 21, but in the meantime is offering tidbits about BioShock Infinite every day leading up to the reveal.
Over on the Irrational Games Blog is an in-progress feature called “10 Things You Should Know About BioShock Infinite” writted by Irrational community manager Chris Remo. He’ll be updating the feature daily, and already has two posts under his belt.
The first imparts that not every character in BioShock Infinite will be hostile and automatically want to kill you. Though they might talk about you and scowl, their behaviors are unpredictable. Remo also attempts to show the difference between BioShock‘s city of Rapture, which was basically dying, and Infinite‘s city of Columbia, which is still vibrant and alive.
The second post talks about Infinite‘s main character, Booker DeWitt, and covers why he’s on the floating city of Columbia. Unlike the named protagonist of Half-Life, Infinite‘s hero will have his own voice and personality, and that personality might not be as squeaky clean as you’d expect.
After the feature ends, BioShock Infinite‘s gameplay trailer will first be released on Xbox Live and Xbox.com. The following day on September 22, it’ll be released “elsewhere.” With shots of the mustachioed Handyman revealed last week, I wonder what other secrets it could hold.
