Dark Sector Heads for Gold

D3Publisher of America has announced Dark Sector is now on its way to retail for a March 25 release.

Dark Sector is set to be available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and was developed by Digital Extremes. It promises players “a dark, gritty experience,” according to the publisher.

In Dark Sector players become Hayden Tenno, a black-ops agent sent on a mission into a Eastern European city to seek a Cold War secret. Part of his body ends up altered by an infection that has granted him inhuman abilities and he goes on to learn how to use his powers for good.

The game, which is rated “M” for Mature, has not been without controversy. It was effectively banned in Australia, for example, because its content and mature nature exceeded the country’s current rating system.
