Deus Ex: Human Revolution E3 Trailer Hits the Tubes

It’s Friday and that means it’s finally time for the big Deus Ex 3 reveal: A brand-new extended cinematic trailer that is holy jeepers hot!

Eidos Montreal has been teasing a new trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution since the end of May and now that it’s finally here, I think everyone will agree that it was worth the wait. I have a certain fondness for the “cheese factor” in the recent F.E.A.R. 3 trailers but the folks at WBIE should take note: This is how it’s done.

The new game takes place in 2027, putting 25 years ahead of the original Deus Ex, the classic PC game that came out in 2000. “It’s a time of great innovation and technological advancement,” intones Adam Jensen, the game’s central character. “It’s also a time of chaos and conspiracy.”

The trailer doesn’t show off any gameplay video but the cinematic quality is absolutely astounding. As my colleague Mr. Westbrook pointed out, it sets the bar awfully high for the game itself, but if the Eidos Montreal team can pull it off then we’re in for a big treat indeed. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is slated to come out in early 2011 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
