PS3 players will get exclusive access to skins and gameplay maps in the Knightfall content pack.
While Batman: Arkham Origins should be pretty much the same game on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, PS3 players will still find themselves privy to some content their 360 counterparts will miss out on. While the PS3 version had previously been confirmed to have exclusive skins, it’s now been revealed that it will receive a special Knightfall pack that will include three extra combat maps and two predator maps in addition to the Adam West and Knightfall Bat-suits promised earlier this year.
In keeping with the Knightfall theme, the combat and predator maps will apparently be tailored toward combat with Bane, who did some not-so-nice things to Batman over the course of the Knightfall storyline. According to the announcement, the Knightfall pack will drop players “in a crime-ridden Gotham City, where Bane’s forces have seized control of several key locations where only Batman can stop them.”
The announcement also included a new trailer highlighting the exclusive skins in action. Suffice it to say both look pretty good. Granted, the Knightfall costume pretty much embodies all the worst excesses of 1990s comics, and the Adam West suit doesn’t “bam” “wham” or” “biff” when you punch thugs, but we’re still excited to take both Bat-suits for a spin. We will, of course, have the Batman theme blasting while using the Adam West suit.
