Fortnite: Everything coming in 2025

2025 is drawing to a close, but Fortnite is still adding new content, with Chapter 7 just around the corner. As usual, Epic Games is as leaky as a sponge, which is ironic, considering one of the collaborations rumored to be in the pipeline. There’s a ton more than just the guy who lives in the pineapple under the sea, as Fortnite has tons in the pipeline.

With competition in the live service space ever growing, especially with games like ARC Raiders stealing the spotlight, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for Fortnite to remain relevant. Luckily, if the leaks are to be believed, then Epic Games will have enough content to keep things fresh for another year. So, when does the new Fortnite season come out?

The Escapist recaps

  • 2025 was a big year for Fortnite, with collaborations with DC Comics, Wednesday, Scooby Doo, Kill Bill, The Simpsons, and, most recently, NINJAGO
  • The game faced backlash over the use of an AI recreation of James Earl Jones’ voice for Darth Vader in the Galactic Battle mini-season, despite permission from both Disney and Jones’ estate.
  • Possibly the most significant crossover was the appearance of K-Pop Demon Hunters characters, capitalizing on the movie’s success.
  • Fortnite also added to its roster of real people, as Sabrina Carpenter was added to the game in 2025, which certainly pleased fans. Playboi Carti is also due to make an appearance in-game, as per the official Fortnite social media accounts.

Assuming Epic Games keeps with its own annual traditions, December 2025 should feature a new Winterfest event. This should include holiday season-themed items, as well as a winter overhaul for players to slay each other in.

Fans who were set on the Kill Bill Fortnite leaks were vindicated on November 19, 2025, as the official Fortnite team shared an exciting graphic for The Lost Chapter – Yuki’s Revenge, accompanied by the caption “Revenge is a dish best served cold.”

The post was accompanied by the date November 30, 2025, pointing to when players will be able to dig into the new cinematic content, along with a later post featuring Quentin Tarantino himself.

Alongside this, a new map for the Blitz mode was referenced in a Stranger Things-themed post on November 20, 2025, showcasing a handful of fan-favorite characters and dropping the date November 21, 2025, into the mix.

The Fortnite team showed off a poster for OG Season 7 on December 8, 2025, much to the excitement of fans online.

With new maps, a new OG pass, and loot pool updates, December 11, 2025, is a date to mark down as a Fortnite fan.

Not only will OG Season 7 be kicking off on December 11, 2025, but fans will also be able to dig into NINJAGO: Rise of the Ninja, helping beloved characters battle against the darkness on NINJAGO Island. A trailer popped up on December 9, 2025, giving players a glimpse of what to expect from the exciting reveal.

Fortnite Chapter 7 leaks & rumors

It’s almost impossible to keep a secret in the video game industry, due to the sheer number of people that work on any one project. It’s even harder for a game like Fortnite, which collaborates with other media entities; it’s in their best interest to ensure that information gets out as far and wide as possible.

The next Fortnite season is nearly here. Based on the Fortnite team’s post about Yuki’s Revenge, players can expect to dig in at the end of November 2025.

The developers of Fortnite were teasing something significant in Chapter 7 from the get-go, hinting at a new map set in Hollywood with a desert area for players to explore. This is based on coordinates provided in a teaser trailer.

Possibly the least surprising leak is that The Seven will be returning in Chapter 7. This faction consisted of seven members: The Foundation, The Origin, The Visitor, The Scientist, The Paradigm, The Imagined, and The Order. Canonically, these characters have died, but it has been established that alternate reality versions exist, so these are the ones who could appear.

Other rumors about Fortnite Chapter 7 suggest collaborations with SpongeBob SquarePants and Ninjago, building on the previous LEGO Fortnite crossover. There are also rumors that Tyler, the Creator, will appear in both Fortnite and Rocket League in the future.

The most recent leak (based on a datamine) claims that players will be able to drive around the Reboot Van and Self-Revive.

Is Harry Potter coming to Fortnite?

Easily the biggest rumor surrounding Chapter 7 of Fortnite is that characters from the Harry Potter franchise will be appearing. These leaks have originated from multiple sources and suggest that the collaboration could take place in December 2025, possibly coinciding with Winterfest 2025.

All that leaks have claimed so far is that character skins and cosmetics are on the way, with the main three characters being a shoo-in.

It’s currently unknown whether this crossover will be of the same scale as The Simpsons event, with a Hogwarts-themed island. That being said, Harry Potter is a big enough franchise that it could easily justify its own mini-season. Based on what’s known so far, the next Fortnite season could be the biggest yet.

Ask The Escapist

What cartoons could Fortnite collaborate with next?

The Simpsons is a biggie, but there are plenty of other shows that would be welcome. South Park is a huge one, considering its enduring popularity. The show even referenced Fortnite back in 2018, with the kids dressing like the characters for Halloween, so the writers are clearly fans, especially since they haven’t trashed the game.

Now that Mariah Carey is in the game, what other musicians known for Christmas songs could be in Fortnite next?

Bing Crosby deserves it, but the kids probably won’t be lining up to play as a musician who passed away nearly fifty years ago.

What superhero franchise should Fortnite collaborate with next, now that Marvel and DC are in the game?

Now that it’s a hit, the next crossover should be Dispatch. Fans would empty their wallets for a Malevola skin.

Why are people so upset about the Sidekicks in Fortnite?

People liked the idea of customizable pets, but they just don’t like the cost. There’s also the fact that opponents can’t see them, removing any potential utility they might have as a distraction. Also, it’s possible to alter their appearance, but if you want to do it again, you have to buy a whole new Sidekick.
